Hello, What is ‘.blog’ domain?

  Good day,

  I’m just curios about domain name. I like to upgrade my subscription to Plan: Blogger which is the cheapest plan, but I notice it state ‘Free .blog Domain for One Year’ and the next two plans which is Personal and Premium, the don’t have the same description in the domain thing, ‘Free Domain for One Year’.

  Now my question is what is the different between the ‘Free .BLOG Domain for One Year’ in Blogger Plan and ‘Free Domain for One Year’. Is it the ‘.blog’ name has (lets say: http://www.mywebsite.blog.com). Please clarify.

  Hi! A .blog domain is one that ends in just .blog. You would pick something like mysite.blog instead of mysite.com to choose the Blogger plan.

  I don’t wan’t “.blog” in the end of my website.

  Follow up question. Can I still use the Blogger Plan but this time I will use my own personal Domain in Godaddy (www.mywebiste.com)?

  Is that possible.

  You won’t be able to use the Blogger plan with anything other than a .blog domain. You can use the Personal plan with your own .com domain, however. You can either buy one separately at another registrar, or one is included for the first year of the plan cost. The Blogger plan only allows for a custom domain ending in .blog.
