Hello World Start Screen

Hello, Sometimes when I go to my URL a Hello World page appears for the new WordPress. Is there anyway to turn this off and have the url point to my blog ? Can I switch to the new WordPress without loosing all of my old posts ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What do you mean by “go to my URL?” Are you referring to a search engine (e.g. Google) search?
Can I switch to the new WordPress without loosing all of my old posts ?
What website are you referring to? If you’re referring to a WordPress.com site, then there is no choice as the version you may use. If you’re referring to a self-hosted WordPress.org site, then this is not the appropriate forum.

I have a blog at jennabooks.wordpress.com. If you enter that in a browser, It takes you to a page that I didn’t create. It’s title is ‘Hello World’ and it advertises the new WordPress. I want this link to point to my blog instead. I’d post screen shots but I don’t see an option for that.

Hi,
Thanks. I have now visited https://jennabooks.wordpress.com/. The confusion was caused by the fact that the site linked to by your username, and in both your forum profile and the original post of this topic is https://jennasbooks.wordpress.com/. Are both sites yours?
The post your refer to is a default post. You may edit it or delete it. Whether it is edited or deleted, Google results will eventually be updated to reflect the change.

The site https://jennabooks.wordpress.com/ has virtually no content. Just a default post from 2011, a default “About” page, and some default widgets. Why do you want Google results to link to it at all?

The site https://jennabooks.wordpress.com/ is certainly not in the onerebelsoul account, since it’s lone post was created in 2011 and onerebelsoul was created in October 2015. My guess is that the older site is not yours. Therefore you can do nothing at all about the Google results associated with it. There are Google results associated with the newer site, as you may see here.

Ah I see there are two urls: JennaBooks and JennasBooks. I don’t remember creating jennabooks, but like you said it was created in 2011 so I might have. That clears up the confusion though. Thanks for all your help !
