  If you would like to use WordPress and also setup advertising, you can switch to a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. WordPress.com is a place where you can setup a free blog and opt in for paid upgrades whereas WordPress.org is where you can get the free, open source WordPress software to install on your own web hosting account.   You cannot setup AdSense in a WordPress.com blog unless you have at least 25,000 pageviews per month and can participate in the Ad Control program. Your blog is not eligible for Ad Control because it does not have enough traffic.

  If you would like to setup AdSense now, you can switch to WordPress.org which requires you to purchase a web hosting account. We have posted hosting recommendations at http://get.wp.com/hosting/
