The more popular your site is, the more high it will be on a seach engine and how spacific you are when seaching something. From Example, (I’m not saying that your name is ACCTUALY in it) if you wrote in “Club Penguin Cheats” compared to “Penguin Master 8000”, there are THOUSANDS of people’s blogs who say “Club Penguin Cheats” but probably only a few that say “Penguin Master 8000”. Also you must have the words that you seach on your site.
If that dosen’t work, make sure you chose “I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Sphere, and in public listings around WordPress.com.” and not “I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose”, because your more likely to be in the search engines.
I hope I helped you, post here if you have more questions, and I’ll try to answer them!

It also takes time and constant updating before a search engine spider starts to take any real notice…….you need patience. People tend to only look at the first couple of pages of results, if you’re on page 15,000 (unless the searcher has asked for some real obscure combination of keywords which match yours…..in which case, they’d probably know your URL anyway and wouldn’t need a search engine to find you) how much traffic do you think you’re going to get?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a science in it’s own right, if you want to master it and get in high on the ratings, you better be prepared to put some study in….it’s not a quick Q&A solution.

I’m trying to get it on a search engine(s) and make it appear like everywhere for my site to get more traffic………….
I submitted my URL to Google/nothing’s turned upThe only questions are: HOW AND WHEN?

Register your blog on technorati.com as well.
Then WAIT. Weeks. Post more. Search engines won’t bother listing your blog if there’s nothing worthwhile there. Link to other people; post things good enough that they want to link to you. In short, contribute to the blogosphere. Then you’ll get listed by search engines. Why would anyone want to come to a site that doesn’t have anything there?
-
If you think you can do 5 minutes work and assume your going to be flooded with traffic, you might as well assume you can walk upside down on the ceiling naked. It’s never going to happen, and you might as well escape the hassle trying.
All you’re doing by submitting to search engines is adding your URL to a LOOOOOONNNNGGGGGG list of others the spiders have to visit, they will get round to you……some search engines charge for a quick scan, or say it can take weeks or months to go with the free option.
Even after the spider has scanned it and indexed it, do you expect miracles? As raincoaster says, your site needs to be active, continually updated, linked to and from to have any impact…..and the easiest way for that, is to contribute where you can to other’s blogs, and here in the forums.
That way you announce to the rest of the community that “yes, I am interested in others”….which will get some showing that interest back at you. A word of warning though, since you seem to be desperate for the miracle “finger click” solution…..a “visit my blog” plea is seen by almost EVERYONE as spam, and will negatively affect your reputation, not to mention stand a high chance of your site being reported and closed for spamming.
Even when it is indexed, it will end up right at the end of the queue. So your site may be on page 23,004 of Google for the keywords you think will be most likely used to search for you…..most people don’t go beyond page 2 or 3, so you have a LONG way to go. Like I said SEO is a science in it’s own right, it’s a respected study course…..but taking a few months to study it will help your site immensely…..but even with that knowledge…it’s a long hard road with a continual upward slope, even for the experts.

Funny that he mentions that. I was thinking how that happens with porn sites as well.

Probably. Want me to go suggest it? I’ll give them your name and see if they can work it in somehow. ;)

Please click this link and do all the things required to get search engine attention. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=5859&page&replies=9
http://pimpmyblog.wordpress.comI believe I have posted all this for you before. The most important thing to understand and accept is that it takes time sometimes 4-6 weeks. Therefore, you must be patient.
If you post the url for your wordpress.com blog then we can see it and we may be able to make further suggestions that may be helpful. Is this your blog? http://penguinmaster8000.wordpress.com/
If it is then you will have to create some content to have your blog noticed by search engines. You only have two very short posts. -
And put the correct URL on your blog. You have http:\ and, as timethief shows you, it should be http://
Put really, really good Penguin stuff up there, and if you work hard people will come.
Good luck!

When I created my first blog, three+ years ago: I would have been SO Very grateful for explanation and details you were nice enough to post for this newbie. I didn’t understand Thing One about even How to create a blog (took over three weeks; blogspot techies ignored my e-mails; couldn’t find a tech dictionary to get translations –that I could understand!) and even less about readers, engines, et al. I just kept on writing what I wanted to say –and hoping even one person would show up to read. It took three months to get PageRank (still thrilling). You wrote a fine explanation –that will be valuable to others. Well done. (–And where were you when I needed you!)
~Penguinmaster:
If you don’t read/acknowledge replies you receive: it may be difficult to get any further ones. There are over 72 MILLION blogs, world-wide. Why should a reader bypass all of them to read yours –and first?
Or: turn it around –what would cause You to want to read a blog/your blog? Write That content and they will come….followed by search engine spiders.
Some very smart people have written superb advice, long ago, how to do what you’re asking. Have you Googled/ Searched/read any of it, before asking in WP Forum?

It looks like you still only have two posts (March 4th and April 29th) so you’ll really have to create some more content in order to get search engine interest. Because as it it a search spider would starve to death looking for key words, etc. on your blog. -
As timethief (and others above) have mentioned, the content should come first over worrying about how much traffic you get or how high your search engine rankings are. If your subject is something you are passionate about, then you should be able to write interesting, informative posts on a regular basis that hopefully encourage readers to comment and discuss. The more material you have, the more your blog will be picked up by spiders and in turn by potential readers.
You also might want to make more of an effort to reach out to other bloggers who blog about similar content. You can link to them on your site (I notice you don’t seem to have any blogroll), and you can also comment on their blogs, so that they know you exist. If you’ve written some interesting posts (once again, it really comes down to content), some of those bloggers may link to you. And then their reader base will click the link and discover you, and hopefully become interested in your posts. It’s a cumulative process, but it all really boils down to your interest in the topic propelling you to write interesting posts on a regular basis.
