I registered for a “.com” domain name roughly 4 hours ago, but when I search on the engines, all I can find is my “.wordpress.com” address… I paid $25.00 for this registration so that I could privatize it… My question is: Do you think my registration did not go through – or is it just a matter of time before the “.com” site with the “.wordpress.com” can be located via search engines? – Brian

http://everymanasylum.com/ is up live wearing the ChaoticSoul theme. But it has no posts.
It takes time for search engines to find a site, certainly more than four hours—up to 6 weeks. But unless you post something there is nothing for Google or Bing to find.

Brian,
You did read this before your upgrade:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/Important Notes Before Upgrading
Same Rules Apply – The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising, any kind of prohibited code, or upload additional themes or plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted here at WordPress.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and you will still be required to abide by our Terms of Service.
