HELP!!!!
-
I bought a domain cleanyourpoolyourself.com and I’m trying to upload wordpress.org so that I can build my site. I’m trying to use filezilla but it’s asking for my host. I would imagine that is wordpress but it’s not working and says it can’t connect. Please help, I’m totally new to all of this and need guidance. Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is a support site for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. http://cleanyourpoolyourself.wordpress.com/ is a WordPress.com blog. You can purchase the domain mapping upgrade to connect that custom domain to your WP.com blog OR you can find paid hosting elsewhere and use software from WordPress.ORG in which case you need to be looking for help on WordPress.ORG instead of here.

Also, just for the future, don’t use titles like “HELP!!!! . I’ve gotten to where if I see one of those, I just completely ignore it. Use a title that gives us a clue as to what the question is.
Just sayin’

I really appreciate it. I don’t think I was clear enough however. I apologize, I’m completely new to all of this. I had a blog that was at http://cleanyourpoolyourself.wordpress.com/ but then I paid the $18 to get http://www.cleanyourpoolyourself.com thinking that it was the upgrade I needed to buy the domain and then I would be able to use wordpress.org to build the site. Do I need to also purchase “hosting” at somewhere like go daddy? I just need some specific direction on this cause I’m completely clueless. Thanks in advance.

To use software from WordPress.org, you will need a domain name, so it’s not a bad purchase. You do need hosting somewhere else IF you insist on a WP.org blog.
I am not clear, however, why you want a WordPress.ORG blog instead of a WordPress.COM blog. You already have a WP.com blog. If you want to blog, you can just go ahead. Read http://learn.wordpress.com to get started.
Why do you want a .org blog instead of a .com?

Thanks!!! That is the answer I was looking for!! I appreciate it so much. I’m looking to use org rather than com because I found a free template that’s perfect for a business blog that I really want to use.

A free template doesn’t go too far when you consider $20 a month hosting fees, though. Unless you must have paid ads or do ecommerce on your site, I generally recommend WP.com first. It has more googlejuice anyway.

It may help to read the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can view the list of recommended hosting providers at http://get.wp.com/hosting/
If you decide to set up your own hosting and install your own choice of themes, you will indeed need to use WordPress.org, and you should bounce over to their forums for additional support: http://wordpress.org/support/
