  I had my site hosted my Hostgator and am using WordPress.org. I signed up for word press.com so that I could get a avatar. I want to make sure that my domain is not moving to WordPress.com I wanted it to stay at host gator I am not sure if I did this correctly

  Hi there,

  Having a WordPress.com account won’t automatically move your domain to us from Hostgator. In fact, it’s not possible to move a domain registered somewhere else to WordPress.com at all. You can only connect it to a site here, and you need to buy an upgrade to do that.
