  So, I have a website that is hosted through godaddy’s CPanel with a wordpress application installed on top of it. He let his domain and hosting expire forgetting about it. The domain is rsharnesscorporation.com so now the big question is…is that website completely gone now?? or when he renews the hosting and domain will it be up and running again??

  If your website is hosted via the Cpanel at godaddy with a WordPress install, then godaddy should be the one to answer your question.

  Check with GoDaddy sooner rather than later. Some web hosts will give you a short grace period.

  I already contacted them and they said they have a 4 day period where they back it up, after that a manual backup is required. I did a manual backup a few months ago for them using Cpanel. I just didnt know if that would backup the necessary files when wordpress is installed on top of Cpanel.

  Since it is hosted by godaddy, it uses the WordPress.org version of WordPress. That is a completely different version than the one here at WordPress.com.
