  An unauthorised Payment has been taken from my PayPal account of £30. Therefore I raised this to PayPal. Since raising I have received a notification saying :

  Warning: One or more transactions linked to this site were refunded due to a contested charge. This may have happened because of a chargeback by the credit card holder or a PayPal investigation. Each contested charge carries a fine. To resolve the issue and re-enable posting, please go to the shopping cart and pay for the chargeback fine. If you have any questions, click here to contact us.

  Im so confused. In my Billing history on WordPress I have personal bundle £26.91 2016, now an automatic payment has been taken a year later for £30. However nothing shows up in my purchases and it also says I have a free plan???

  Have I been charged for raising an issue to Paypal ?

  Can you please share the site URL which was charged? As aimeeedwardscom.wordpress.com is a free domain and WordPress.com won’t charge anything for it.

  That is the URL the charges are against.

  It says:

  Personal Bundle
  aimeeedwardscom.wordpress.com

  However since raising to PayPal I have been charged extra for congested charges. What is this?

  Hello –

  Once you are able to cancel the payment dispute through PayPal I can process a refund for the renewal of your personal plan.

  My suggestion is to call them directly on the phone as this typically gets faster results. Let me know once this has been done and I should be able to release the funds back to you almost immediately.

  This is going to be the fastest way for you to get the refund. Once I release the funds they’ll reach you in about ten days Otherwise, you will eventually get your money but that process can take up to several months when working through a payment dispute refund.

  Hello,

  I can cancel the case via PayPal. I only opened it as I didn’t recognise the payment. However, I don’t understand how payment has been made or why?

  What is the extra charged for congested?

  Hello-When you contest a payment through PayPal or your credit card, Chargeback fees are applied. Please see this support guide for an explanation https://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/chargebacks/

  Thanks for letting me know about the PayPal reversal. I’ve been able to process the £30 refund for the personal plan. These funds could take up to ten days to reach you. Take care :)
