  Upon trying to create my blog, I have entered a wrong username and blog name.
  I need this corrected asap. If it cant be please advise how to cancel my account so I can restart from the beginning

  Instead of canceling your account, would it be easier to change the domain name? You can find a great walkthrough on how to do that here.

  If you DO want to cancel and then recreate, you will want to check out this guide.
