  how can i change the alt text permanently for an image if the page is posted already

  Hi, @apinterns,

  You can simply edit the image’s alt tag on the page and hit the update button — that will change the tag permanently. You can find information on editing the image here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings/
