I know I let the year run out cause I wanted to switch to another website. Do I need to buy a year with you guys again and then switch it to weebly.com where my new website is at?

No, once a domain expires, it becomes the property of our registrar partner is returned to the public pool at their discretion.
We have no control over this process, and I have seen it take anywhere from 5 to 90 days.
I recommend trying to register it at least once a week.

No, you bought a transfer through GoDaddy, not the domain name.
The domain is still in the ownership of our registrar partner.
You cannot transfer the domain since you no longer own it, as it did expire.

You allowed the domain to expire and finalized the cancellation after the fact.
The domain is no longer yours and is now the property of our registrar partner.
It will only be returned to the public market at their discretion, which we do not have control over.

who is the partner so I can contact them? The only reason I canceled with you guys is because I didn’t want to use your site anymore not get screwed over and not use my domain name. You guys don’t let people know that when you send them updates about site expiring.

When you allow a domain to expire, you do lose ownership, as with most things that carry an expiration date.
This is an industry-standard practice.

is there a way for me get the account back up? wwd said I have to wait till novemeber 4th for them to release it. they said you guys might still have access to the account so I can buy it.

I’m sorry, but we will not be able to recover the domain until it enters the redemption period, at which point it will cost an additional $80 fee to re-purchase.
In that case, I recommend just waiting for November 4.
