I purchased the the CSS upgrade, but the CSS Stylesheet Editor is not blank. It has the /* Welcome to Custom CSS! things and every time I delete it, try to put in a Google Analytics code and save, it just goes back to the /* Welcome to Custom CSS! thing. How do I fix this?

Select the radio button entitled ‘Add to existing CSS (View tylesheet)’ located at the bottom of the ‘CSS Stylesheet Editor’. A notepad would ‘popup’. You may copy and paste data from this notepad into that ‘/* Welcome to Custom CSS! things’ and ‘Save Stylesheet>>’.

You cannot put google code in there, you can only customize the CSS, which is for customizing the look of the blog, stylizing it. It is not for code.

flynnsblogs, thanks. I think perhaps some pop up thing on my computer wont allow that. I am trying to put Analytics on my page, and since they now have a ga.js format, I was under the assumption that you can put this on your page. how do i do that?

I don’t know what a ga.js format is but did a quick research online a few minutes ago and found that the ‘google [analytic tracking] code’ is a javascript, which is not allow at WordPress.com due to security issues.
