Which is “the most recent” then, if the display times are wonky? Sometimes this happens, especially with new blogs, when you do more than one post a day. Just Edit them and change the timestamp in the sidebar on the right of the Edit page.
You can’t replace “Standard” because that is the Post Format notification, not the author’s signature. I suppose if you were good with CSS editing and had the Custom Design upgrade, that would enable you to change things somewhat.

RainCoaster –
Your first tip worked perfectly – thank you very much! . . .
How then can I show my initials, or that of a contributor, on each post?
Thanks in advance – jb

Either switch to a theme that shows your username or put in your username as a Category and remember to add it to each of your posts. You can also use the Author Widget.

Got it.
I most likely will have a contributor/best buddy going along in this, so I suspect we will be upgrading in short order. We’re older guys who watch our grandchildren perform wizardry on the computer, while we can turn it on, type an e-mail, or manage to get a blog up, if not really running well.
Never too old to learn, though, eh? :-) Thank you again. jb

You’re welcome. I advise against buying upgrades too early. Just maybe get a custom domain and mapping and then blog. People get overhwelmed if they get too many upgrades and have to learn CSS editing, produce videos, blah blah blah.
