  I purchased my domain name from godaddy.

  Why do I have to move? And if I don’t move it, why do I have to pay $60 to use it with WordPress. Plus, I’m not sure I’ll be able to even use wordpress (it might be too involved for my skills) so why do I have to make any financial commitment yet?

  You’re welcome to build a site over at GoDaddy. Or you could build a site here at WordPress.com for free but you’d need to pay if you wanted to use your GoDaddy domain here. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
