  Hi Customer Support,

  I have recently bought my own domain name on Godday website and I want to use that domain on my current free website on wordpress – https://arunarts.wordpress.com/

  Can you assist me to create the hosting process.

  Do I need to purchase the hosting on wordpress or I can do it on Godaddy.

  If you wanted to build your site here at WordPress.com it would have been easier to get your domain here too.

  As it is you could have a site hosted on GoDaddy if you’d rather. You’d need to build a site over there and transfer the content of the wordpress.com site over to the new site using export/import.

  If you want to use your new domain here with your wordpress.com site you’d need to upgrade it to a WordPress.com Personal plan or higher to map the domain to that original site. https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
