    Hi there, I am looking to setup a website and I just want to have a look at how I might be able to do this on wordpress, if its something I can do myself etc. However its first asking me to transfer or map my domain – which I dont want to do until I’m satisfied wordpress is the right platform for me. Please could you help, am I able to have a look at the tool first?

    No problem, Sophie. You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready. Note the transfer takes a few days, and mapping is done within a a few hours typically, so if you want to transfer I’d set up mapping first, first then transfer.
