    Hi I am trying to update my website but do not have user name and password to access wordpress. It was created 7 years ago. The domain is hosted by godaddy. Do you have a solution on how I can go about this?

    Hi there! You’ve landed on the forums for websites that are hosted here with us on WordPress.com. Since your website is hosted by GoDaddy, this isn’t really something we are directly able to help with.

    Essentially, there are two ways to use WordPress, you can either use the WordPress software downloaded from WordPress.org onto a web host like GoDaddy (also known as self-hosted), or you may host your site with us here at WordPress.com.     Generally what we’d suggest is either contacting GoDaddy themselves as they’re better placed to help you; or alternatively the community forums of WordPress.org are a good place to check too:
