Help?
-
I don’t want to own my domain “hunterhayesus” anymore. Is there any way I can DELETE the domain/site altogether? If so, could someone please help? If that’s not possible could I change the name? I hope this isn’t confusing. I’ve never owned a site before So I don’t know what step to take etc. Thanks in advance.

Here is the Support article about cancelling/getting a refund for
domain mapping:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/cancel-domain/I notice you (was it you?) tagged this thread with “delete site.” Is that what you want, to delete your site?
-
I went to that link a bit ago and I forgot what I clicked on but received an email that said I will be refunded within 4 days. So does this mean my website will go back to ( example: domain.wordpress.com ). And I won’t be charged anymore?
-
Yes, if you requested a refund within the 2 days, then you should see that when you look on your dashboard—>store—>my upgrades. Or possibly check dashboard—>store—>billing history.
If you are still worried about getting your refund, then we can mark this thread for staff to see.
You only want to eliminate the domain mapping, and not to delete the site, is that correct?

It’s been longer than two days so I understand I can’t receive a refund. I would like to just delete the site completely and not be associated with wordpress right now because I don’t have the time to dedicate to a site right now.
It says I can’t because if it has a domain registration upgrade. I checked and I don’t see anything about an upgrade. I changed it back to websitename.wordpress.com instead of using the site name I choose and bought the domain at the time. So I thought I’d be able to delete the site like I have in the past when using WordPress, but it’s still not working.

I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance re: removing the domain. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi hunterhayesus,
I have cancelled hunterhayesus.com for you and sent you a refund for $18 (it looks like you already had a refund for $8 for the private domain registration). You should see the refund in your account within a few days.
If you want to delete the blog completely, you can do so by following the instructions here:
