Someone we were never billed in 2023 – at least that I can see. I would really like to TALK to someone about this. The webpage is http://www.pasbf.org and we used WordPress to create it. My name is Keith Anderson. My email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and my phone is [redacted]

This is NOT what i was asking. I want to TALK to someone about my account. I was unable to finish reading the AI response when it all disappeared. Can someone, anyone, please PICK UP A PHONE AND CALL. Right now I am very frustrated as you do not seem to care about our account at all

Have you tried reaching out to GoDaddy as that is where the domain was registered.

This is WordPress.com which is a different host, and you only created a new account here minutes ago.

The only way I was able to even send ANYTHING to WordPress was to set up this “new account.” There appears to be no sales staff i can talk to, no support people i can talk to. It would be nice for you to pick up phone and call me so we can straighten this out.

You’ve got the wrong company. Your site is running self-hosted WordPress software provided by GoDaddy. They are the service provider you need to contact.

Thank you for the information. It is too bad it is so difficult contact support for your company

@keanderson240238187e Oh, I’m not a member of staff. I am just a fellow blogger.

WordPress is free software. There isn’t a “company” as such. Volunteers offer support for that free software at https://wordpress.org/support/welcome/ but if it is about paying for your domain and hosting then that has nothing to do with the wordpress software and you need to speak to the people you pay.

    Hi there!

Unfortunately, we cannot assist because your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. It’s a self-hosted WordPress.org site hosted by a different hosting company, GoDaddy.

We do not have access to self-hosted sites, so I cannot see the setup of the backend of your account.

    To clarify:

    • WordPress.com is a managed host platform that offers WordPress in a pre-customized server environment already set up for you to build your site. Hosting with WordPress.com is free, and the server, security, updates, and site optimization are all handled by us. We offer free and paid plans that provide additional features for your site based on your needs (plugins, custom themes, etc). You also have access to professional assistance via Happiness Engineers to address any issues you encounter.
    • WordPress.org is a self-hosted solution, meaning you download the WordPress software and install it on a web server from a host of your choosing. You have to pay the host when you’re self-hosting, and the server, security, updates, and site optimization are all handled by you. This gives you more flexibility and control of your plugins, themes, and code but also more responsibility to ensure those things are operating correctly.

I recommend contacting your site host, GoDaddy, as they would be better positioned to assist you since they have access to your account. Also, the open-source forum community is always available and prepared to help users with self-hosted sites: https://wordpress.org/support/forums

    Hope that helps!
