  Below are the only accepted means of payment.

  WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

  If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country or pay in Bitcoin.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  My card is a debit card and have mastercard symbol on it, so I don’t just know is invalid. Any help for that?

  Debit cards are not used here. Only credit cards are. Get a prepaid credit card and you can do it.

  Hi there,

  Raincoaster is right that strict debit cards are not accepted, but the ones with VISA or Mastercard logos are accepted (they are seen by our payment gateway as just being credit cards). If you’re having problems putting through your purchase, please let me know what error you’re getting and I’ll look in to it!

  But my debit card has MasterCard logo on it and is not going, it write ”The transaction was declined. Please try another card”. What possibly be the problem?

  Unfortunately no information has been recorded at all for the account which you are writing in from, so I don’t have any additional information on why this payment isn’t going through.

  Or was this a different account which you are trying to purchase from?

  Additionally, it’s worth noting that Paypal doesn’t accept payments from certain countries. I don’t know which country you are based out of, however that might be a factor as well.

  You can always review the article which @TT provided (http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/) and see if there is another form of payment which will work for you.
