Hiya Chris29.
In my account, when I changed my e-mail address, I went to Account Settings -> Account and changed my e-mail address from there. What steps did you take to change yours?

@nerdynurse
Note the keyword that prompted me to tag this thread for Staff help was pending</strong. -
Well it looks like it worked that time. I am not sure why it wouldn’t work when I first tried it earlier in the week but it did this time. Thank you guys for the assistance.

I am a plain speaking and painfully honest person who is on her way out of here.
I hate tailgating new Volunteers and Staff wannbes into threads, checking their answers, and making corrections. In fact, I am multitasking from my business when I answer support questions and tailgating takes so much time and energy that I frequently want to scream.
I strongly believe that it ought to be up to Staff to make sure everyone who posts a thread gets the help they need as quickly as possible.
If I dare to suggest that new Volunteers search before posting I sound preachy but to be even more honest care if that is the case. I believe that everyone who post here deserves to get a correct answer as quickly as possible, so when in doubt my advice is do the other blogger a favor and consider not posting a response at all. That advice does not sit well with Staff because it is in their best interest to have regular Volunteers actively train as many new Volunteers and Staff wannbes as possible.
It is my strongly held opinion that the only education they need is to learn how to use Forum tag searches, support docs searches and Google search.
Why?
There’s rarely ever a question posted here that has not already been asked and correctly answered by regular Volunteers and Staff.

Edit to provide missing words (I am visually challenged).
… but to be even more honest I do not care if that is the case. …

Note that Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Unless I can guarantee that I have valuable information to provide that resolves the issue posted into a thread that has already been tagged for Staff help I do not post into it. That is because bumping the thread would move the timestamp forward and the result will be that it takes the original poster longer to get the help they need.

P.S. It seems obvious to me that you are most likely a Staff wannbe, so in the event that I see responses that are not correct, I will simply type modlook into the sidebar and have Staff make the corrections.
Welcome to the Volunteer brigade. :)

I did not intend to discourage you and there is no need to retrain, because you are doing an excellent job of selectively answering threads that you have correct answers for. Rock on! :)

I do value your advise which was why I thought that I probably should read a bit more before trying to contribute. There is a plethora of knowledge here and I really haven’t even scratched the surface.
And no I wasn’t discouraged. Just meant more to read and learn. :)

Thank goodness you were not discouraged. Everyone makes mistakes but we can reduce the possibility of providing wrong answers by searching and I sense you going to do very well. :)
