Help!
-
Hello, I have a query regarding a comment I left on another blog recently. I am aware that it’s not possible to delete comments left on someone’s page under usual circumstances, but it is important for me to be able to get in touch with someone who works at WordPress to see if there’s anything that can be done.
I stupidly left a comment on someone’s post regarding IQ, but as I started to read more of his posts I very quickly realised that the man is a racist, so saying that “I agree with a lot of the things that he said” (pertaining to what I had read so far) has left me feeling rather ill. I don’t advocate anything this person stands for, so the fact that I cannot delete past comments is, in my opinion, rather barbaric. The fear is that he may not delete my post, even though I have requested him to. My friends often search for me on various websites via Google, and the last thing I want them to see is me indirectly supporting his views, which are barbaric.
At the very least I would like it so that my current username shows on the comments instead, as opposed to my previous one which is what people normally search for.
Thanks

Hi @tobymz1.
Blog owners have full control over the comments that are left on their blogs, and it’s not possible for anyone else to delete them.
If the blog owner has a contact page on their website, I recommend contacting them directly. I find that most blog owner’s are understanding when people ask to have their comments deleted from a site.
