    In the footer I want to remove the metadata and archives

    I find nothing in widgets and I am a beginner …

    Hi there, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS to remove the search from the menu/header area.

    .site-filter .search-form {
        display: none;
    }

    On pages and Blog pages, there are footer widget areas. Some themes show a selection of widgets by default. To have those not show at all, add a blank text widget with no title to the page footer widget area at Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard. Alternately you can add widgets of your choosing to the Page Footer widget area. See our Widget Support Page for more on using and managing those.

    At WordPress.com favicons are known as Blavatars. See our Blavatar Support Page for more information on doing that.

    Thank you very much!
    Other little question, do you know if it’s possible with bindery to import typography from internet?

    Oh ! And is it possible to put the tittle (and the logo) of the website in the middle of the header?

    Hi, at this time, we can only use the Typekit fonts listed at Appearance > Customize > Fonts, and can only set two, one for body and one for headings.

    To center your logo and title, add the following CSS

    .site-branding {
        width: 100%;
        text-align: center;
    }

    and then remove the left padding from .site-logo.

    Hi! I’m very new with using CSS code, but I am hoping to do a few things with the theme bindery. First, I am using a three page set up (home page, portfolio page, and journal/blog page) and I would like to customize the title and tagline of the journal/blog page, while keeping both the home page and portfolio page titles and taglines the same. Is there a way to change the title/tagline on only the journal page ? I was told I would have to write it into the code, but I don’t know where to begin.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Hi maiawelch – to modify elements on the blog page – http://maiawelch.com/stories/ – you can use the .blog selector in front of any other CSS. This isolates your CSS changes to only the blog page.

    For example, this would change the colour of your site title on the blog page:

    .blog .site-title {
      color: #bb00bb;
    }

    This would make the tagline bigger on the blog page:

    .blog .site-description {
      font-size: 30px;
    }

    If you need further help with anything, please start a new thread and explain specifically what you’d like to do to the title and tagline on that page so I can assist you better. Thanks!
