Help!
-
Hi, I am new to WordPress and have a slight issue. I was advised to download the application (WordPress) on my Mac. I did this and was able to access this using MAMP – this gave me good function and use of my blog. However when I log in (to view page not as admin) or my friend tries to view my blog, she can see the old version of my blog (before I edited the blog using the dowloaded application). Every time I view the blog using https://emotionsandpotions.wordpress.com/ I see the old theme (Toujours) and my non updated content. However if logging into the ‘admin’ page using MAMP (http://localhost:’…..’) I can view/amend etc my more updated blog/theme (Sugar & Spice).
I know this is slightly confusing, but hope you can help….thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
The http://localhost version of the site is local installation available only on your computer. It is usually used for testing purposes.
If you are looking for an app to edit, use one of the apps listed here or here.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
Sorry to sound stupid, so ‘local host’ is not really useful? Will any changes i make for my blog on there not be actioned?
I intially downloaded the desktop WordPress App for my Mac, however could not make the changes for my blog (ie contact form etc) and therefore had to download the locla host way.
I just used the WordPress App again on my Mac – firstly to try and change my theme. I want Sugar and Spice , however this is not showing up in the search. Help?
I just want to make changes to my blog the simplest way possible and ensure they can be viewed by anyone. What is the best method to do so?
Thank you! Let me know if you require any further information.

Hello,
I would recommend changing the theme from your blog’s dashboard here on WordPress.com. For day-to-day activities like writing and editing posts, use the app. Are you able to do that?
Here is how to change theme from wordpress.com.
