  Hi, I recently tried to start use WordPress as a platform to build a website. After several unsuccessful attempts to connect my domain name to the WordPress platform, I switched to Squarespace. After canceling my WordPress premium plan, and unmapping my domain, I’m unable to assign my domain to my new Squarespace website. Squarespace tells me my domain is managed by WordPress, although I purchased it from Google domains. How can I unaffiliate WordPress from my domain?

  What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?

  And, exactly which username account registered that site and purchased any upgrades for it?

  It sounds like your domain’s nameservers are still pointing to WordPress.com. You’ll need to log into your registrar account and point them to Squarespace.
