Help! A viagra ad on my site!
-
I am keeping a blog for friends and family while traveling, and a friend told me she is seeing a viagra ad with a busty female on my site. WordPress claims to not allow any inappropriate ads, and I see how viagra is a legal drug, however I feel like that is objectionable. However I don’t see a way ro remove it without paying $48/year. Any advice? I would also be open to paying their $4/month for one month so I could put my blog in my community newsletter without offending anyone, but I see there’s only an annual option.

Hey, @callliope!
As @staartmees suggested, you could consider upgrading to a Personal plan.
It costs $48 per year for the Personal plan, but if you opt in to the monthly Personal plan, the price is $9/month.
💡 You can compare the features of our plans by navigating to https://wordpress.com/pricing and by clicking on the “Compare plans” button (below the pricing table).
Not only will it remove the ads, but it will also expand your storage quota to 6 GB, allow access to email support, etc.
Additionally, with the annual Personal plan, you’ll be able to register a domain for free (for the first year)!
You can learn more about the Personal plan here:
Choose the Personal plan to create a powerful WordPress website or blog to use as your home on the web. This guide explains what’s included in the WordPress.com Personal plan. Included in the Personal Plan The Personal plan includes WordPress hosting and everything else included in the free version of WordPress.com. By upgrading to this plan, your website will have all the features liste
