Help! Absolute beginner – don't know where to start

  I’m trying to set up my first blog, but am stuck at the first hurdle. I need someone to talk me through the basics. The ‘Help’ pages are too technical for me. Can anyone help?

  Thanks for replying, Leif. As you saw, I have managed to make some progress, I’m not really sure how! I think I’ve had enough for now, but if (when!) I encounter problems when I get back to working on my blog, I’ll post a more specific query on this topic. Thanks again.

  Sounds good, Marianne.

  I also tend to find many answers by typing my question into the search bar at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ , in case you haven’t given that a shot yet.

  It does get easier, and more fun, once you start getting familiar with your WordPress surroundings ;)
