Hi there,
Widgets are something you use to customize your theme. So if you add a widget to the sidebar or a footer widget area, that widget will display on every page on the site that displays that specific widget area.
There are widget visibility settings that you can use to restrict a specific widget to only be visible on specific pages, but it sounds like you might rather want to add images to your actual content here, instead of to a widget.
Can you describe in more detail exactly what you’re trying to do, including the URL of the page(s) you’re working on? Then we can check if there isn’t a better way than a widget to achieve the same goal.

Many thanks for your reply. I have a website with many different projects on and photo images to accompany. All of the pages are in the same format with the photos on the side of. When the box appears bottom right giving me the options customise, edit, stats bottom right. I click customise then this opens up a side menu on the left with options and widgets is the one I click. then i click sidebar. Although it looks empty like nothing is there as I scroll down I notice oblong boxes if i click on one of them i can see images from another page and in each box another page. I scroll down to the bottom of that side until I cant go any further and I am given the option to add block by clicking on the + sign. I am then given the option of what widget i would like to choose from. All the other pages with images have two widgets legacy and gallery. If i choose legacy i get in the block options to choose but none of them seem to give me a gallery. So if i dont add the legacy widget i can opt for gallery. I can create a new gallery in tiled mosaic but this gallery then gets added to every other page at the bottom of all the other images. This is my problem. I hope I’ve made it easier for you to understand and I totally apprecate your help.

Hi there,
Thank you for that extra detail. I checked cohibaproductions.wordpress.com and see that you are adding widgets to your sidebars, but setting them up so that they only appear on specific pages. That is easier to see if you visit this page: https://cohibaproductions.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
As background there is currently an issue where legacy widgets with page visibility set (such as you have) are not visible in the interface. Our team is looking into this but for now you may find your existing widgets easier to manage in that interface.
Video showing how to access settings on legacy widgets: https://d.pr/v/2TCrEG
I can create a new gallery in tiled mosaic but this gallery then gets added to every other page at the bottom of all the other images. This is my problem.
By default when you add a blog (as a widget) it does not have any page visibility settings. So it shows on all pages, which is what you are seeing now. If you want to restrict the gallery block to appear only on a specific page, you can find that setting in the “block settings” sidebar on the right, under the Advanced tab.
This video will show you where that is located: https://d.pr/v/rlSbQZ
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

hi I’ve tried doing what you suggested and yes it worked or that page but now all the other images that were on the side seem to have disappeared and not sure how to get them back. I appreciate all your help. Many thanks

I have no images on the other pages now but I do on the Bubbles of Fun :) I’m thinking that in order for me to have them all back on their said pages I may have to repeat that same process for Bubbles again on each of the other pages to get the images back. However, I’m hoping that there is an easier option.
I look forward to your help thank you

Hi there,
What particular pages are you wanting the widgets on? If you are wanting them on all pages, you set the conditions on the visibility settings so that they appear to the pages you prefer. There are 6 different aspects that come into play when working on a widget’s visibility settings, so you need to make sure that the conditions are set properly for them to display on the pages you want. For more information, please visit:

Many thanks I will give this a try. I did notice however that they were visible but maybe trying this new way has changed everything for me now.
Originally all of my pages (projects) of which there are over 20 all had images displaying using the sidebar widget but now since I tried to add the new way that you showed in your video above they have since all now disappeared and I don’t know where they are.
If I am still stuck after trying to fix it do you mind if I come back again as I really need my images back it shows the work I have been doing?

Hmm, I took a look at the page at https://cohibaproductions.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php, and it looks like you’ve now removed all your widgets completely, rather than just changing the visibility setting as Jerry showed in the video.
I do see a large number of inactive widgets, though. If your missing widget is there, you can restore it by clicking on the widget, and clicking this button in the block toolbar that appears:
Then just assign it back to your sidebar.
Once it’s restored, you can use the process from the video to set the widget’s visibility to only show on the pages where you want it to be visible.
We’re happy to keep helping here, so please let us know if you get stuck at any point :)

hi
I am successfully adding the images many thanks for your help but now I would like to be able to click on each one and when I do it make it larger so I can see it in its fullness. At the moment they are very small and I cant click on them.
I look forward to hearing from you

Thanks for that! With Tiled Galleries, you have the option to link to the media attachment page, the media file itself, or to have no link at all.

For each image in the gallery, you should select “media file” to be able to click the image thumbnail and have the image shown in a carousel. You may need to do that for each image in the gallery as well.
Let us know if that works!
