HELP! All Font on My Entire WP Blog Got Smaller!

  • Unknown's avatar

    Created a new blog the past week. All was going along pretty good until tonight. All of a sudden ALL the font across the ENTIRE site got real small.

    I’ve tried to troubleshoot this myself (Been searching Google for the past two hours!), but I’m not a techie. Just don’t know what to do. Can anyone help me?

    The site is Janinescozycorner.com.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi, Janine.

    I think I have found your problem in this particular CSS rule. There are two font-size properties. One is 16px and one is 1rem.

    body {
    -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
    -moz-osx-font-smoothing: grayscale; }

    body,
    button,
    input,
    select,
    textarea {
    color: #252525;
    font-family: “Open Sans”, sans-serif;
    font-weight: normal;
    font-size: 16px;

      font-size: 1rem;

    (This one is unnecessary)
    line-height: 1.8;
    }

    Do you have WordPress.com Premium ?

    I apologize, Janine.

    The CSS declaration block didn’t post correctly. I believe that the font-size: 1rem. is the problem. I used Chrome developer tools to research the problem and the font returned to normal size (16px) after temporarily disabling the other font-size property.

    I have posted the corrected CSS rule below.

    body {
    -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
    -moz-osx-font-smoothing: grayscale; }

    body,
    button,
    input,
    select,
    textarea {
    color: #252525;
    font-family: “Open Sans”, sans-serif;
    font-weight: normal;
    font-size: 16px;
    line-height: 1.8;
    }
