HELP! All links broken, Posts deleted, weird icons

    About two weeks ago my blog picked up some sort of bug that means none of the links on the homepage work. This means you can’t click on the blog titles, hyperlinks or embedded videos.

    Also a weird icon saying “#2(NO TITLE)” appeared in the top right hand corner

    Also a lot of my posts have disappeared from the blog when you view it, even though they are still viewable for me on the dashboard.

    Can anybody help?

    If anyone is posting anything to your blog then you have provided them with the ability to do so either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information ( your username + password or your email account ), or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.

    Go to your email program immediately and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.

    1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.

    2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/

    3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/

    4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password

    5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.

    6. Set up two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

    Hi henryriggall,

    It looks like one of your posts had some random code inserted (a tag), and once I deleted it, your site is now working properly again. The link “#2(NO TITLE)” was because you had a blank, untitled page set as an About page. I set that page to Draft status and it is now gone from your navigation. If you wish to create an about page, you can find that page by going to your Dashboard and under Pages, select “All pages”.
