Help and Refund Needed
-
Hello –
I had a blog under the name “jimmysullivan”. When I was logged into that blog I purchased the upgrade so I could modify the fonts on my theme. When I changed the fonts the entire layout of my theme was ruined. I tried other themes and none of them would work after the upgrade/change to fonts – the layout was messed up on all of them. I had a deadline for a story to publish so I had to create a whole new account so people would at least be able to read the story – I created that new alternate blog under “jimmysullivanblog”. So now, I need a refund on the $30.00 upgrade on my original blog BUT more importantly I’m wondering if there is a way to get rid of that upgrade thing all together on my old blog “jimmysullivan” so it works like it used to and so I can transfer my content back to my original blog name of “jimmysullivan” rather than “jimmysullivanblog”. I hope that all makes sense. Thank you.

Hi there,
I don’t help with CSS editing but I know you need to delete whatever CSS you have in the Editor. To ‘reset’ a theme, you need to delete the CSS in the Editor, make sure the “add to existing CSS” radio button is checked, then save. Things should go back to normal.WordPress.com does provide a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. You can request a refund yourself directly from the Store -> My Upgrades section of your Dashboard.

As far as moving your content goes you can do that by export and import. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

Wow – wish I had come here first for an answer – that fixed it all. Thank you! Hopefully they’ll figure out how to come up with a nifty font option feature that doesn’t mess up peoples layouts! Thanks again!

CSS is theme specific. When you have custom CSS and you change themes your have to remove it or you will get undesired results.
