Help! Articles dissapeared!
-
2 articles that were published today, Nov 21, disappeared from the website. The strange thing is that it happened after I checked that they were actually on the site.
So they were published then left.
Please help!!!

@brasri
I see two articles on your blog dated the 21st. They aren’t gone, and I suspect there might be some server synchronization issues or network issues, or perhaps some upgrading going on, but I’m speculating.I’m certain staff is working on these problems, whatever they may be. In all cases so far where people have said a certain post disappeared from their blog, I have been able to see the post when I visit their blog, so the posts are not gone.

My post keeps coming and going too. Most times now, I can view (most) of my post when I’m logged in to my account. But, access my blog to see if it’s okay, that is, without logging in, and it’s just gone!
Other, minor problems are, sometimes it’s added to the archives, sometimes not and, under recent posts, I’ve got a 0 instead!
It has been many hours now and I, personally, expect it not to get fixed until after Thanksgiving. Too bad cause, I haven’t posted for awhile but this one was meant to be a “timely” post.

@janetwilkins
Follow the link in the post above yours and contact support and they will fix it. -
I’m not quite certain which link you are referring to. The one in the “sticky post” is closed to comments. I’ve also contacted Support a couple of times today … on one occasion, I was told it was fixed. It is not. Since then, I’ve not heard word one from anyone and now, when I checked Support, they are closed. Which I expected, of course, being a holiday tomorrow! So, I guess my “timely” post will not be so “timely!”
A little bit frustrated at this point! Still, I’ll wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Janet! I’m sure the staff wish that this was cleared up so they could enjoy it too.

I’m sure they do too, timethief. I may be frustrated, patience has never been one of my virtues, but I still hope they take some time for Thanksgiving. Friday will come around and, sometimes, a new “refreshed” look at the problem will be all that’s needed!

@gt242
There’s almost a month between the last post and your own. Your wordpress.com username is linked to a commercial site rather than to your wordpress.com blog so how will staff be able to locate your blog and help you expeditiously?If you contact staff using the Support button that is normally available on your Dashboard Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4PM (Pacific time) make sure you send them the following info:
– your browser
– your browser version
– your FULL blog address (not the name, the real address that begins http:// )
– your FULL username
– your REAL email address that is registered here (N.B. Do not post personal information to the forum)
– and a very good description of the exact problem. -
This is a link to a blog post that contains several ways of backing up your blog posts right from the moment you begin to write a post. Hopefully, you will find it to be helpful Disaster Planning – Backups for Bloggers
