Maybe I should explain a little better. Chase Maclaskey was the former concierge here at the Hyatt Regency. She started this blog with her Hyatt email. When employees leave the company their emails are deactivated. I contacted Chase last week and she gave me the password. I logged on and through the tools I tried to delete the blog. However, wordpress sends a link to confirm the deletion of the blog and because (email visible only to moderators and staff) is no longer a working email there is no way to click on this link. I have been asked by my general manager to have this blog deleted ASAP because the content is out of date. Please help me! I’m being asked everyday I work about the progress and since their is no way to contact you via phone, this process has become very stressful. HELP PLEASE!!!! You can call me at 512.477.1234 ext 51. My name is Giovanni Metcalf I am the current concierge or email me at (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thank you!

Please stop SHOUTING! Also appreciate that your issue is no more urgent thatn anyone else’s who is also posting to this support forum and many have posted before you did. This thread is flagged for Staff attention and I suggest that you settle down and recognize the sky is not falling – it’s only a blog.

Ok geez! You don’t have hotel executives breathing down your neck. Hope you would have some understanding. And yes, I obviously realized you cannot be contacted by phone. So what do I need to do?
-
@chasingaustin – most of the people helping on these forums are volunteers so you have to wait til someone comes by and can help you. Or you can look at the support documentation and help yourself. Try this:
-
Been there done that you bosses are wimps compared to some of the places and pressures I have seen – try dealing with a plant manager when their whole plant is down and loosing tens of thousands of dollars an hour –
But – that said – @TT has flagged this for staff help
In the mean time – – you said you had the ability to log into the blog – SO – here is the quick fix – just delete the content –
Go the the Posts section and use the bulk edit function to delete or set the Posts to draft or Private – any of these will take the content out of the public view – also you should be able to set the blog to Private
Dashboard >> Settings >> Privacy >> View by only people I choose
The above should get the boss off your case
-
If your want to delete blog content but keep the URL then you can easily delete all blog content by yourself rather than waiting for Staff to do it for you.

edit: Alternatively, you can wait for Staff noting that I already told you this thread has been flagged for Staff attention and you issue is no more important than the issues other bloggers who posted before you are experiencing.
-
Surely your IT department could re-enable the email temporarily. If not, blame them when your bosses howl.

I have deleted the blog as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Oh Google cache, how do I love thee, let me count the ways…. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
They’re sweating because of a site whose last post was in 2010? /shrugs
-
-
They should have just cleared the site then had a single Post to their real web site – then the search would still end up at the outdated site until Google and others clear their cache – that would have kept people looking for them hitting the gone forever wall – and yes raincoaster – they should hire a real blogger to get them back up on the search engines –
-
Sorry to bug you guys again, but how do I contact a webmaster to have the blog removed from Googles search results? I was told Google cannot remove this content. Thank you!
