  • Hi there,

What are the URLs of the sites in reference? Yes, plugins can only be installed on WordPress.com if you have the Business Plan Upgrade:

    https://wordpress.com/business/

In addition to plugins, you also receive 200 GB of media library space, real-time updates, sFTP access, live chat support, no ads, and more:

For more information on plugins on WordPress.com, please visit our support page:

Just want to confirm that your sites are indeed hosted on WordPress.com Let me know if you have any other problems or questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi there!

The sites you mentioned are not hosted by us at WordPress.com. They are using WordPress.org and hosted by GoDaddy, a different hosting service provider.

To clarify, there are two versions of WordPress – WordPress.com and WordPress.org. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.

You will want to upgrade to a WordPress.com Business plan if your site is hosted by us at WordPress.com. As of now, all three sites you mentioned are hosted elsewhere. So you can’t use the WordPress.com Business plan on them.

May I know if you are planning to migrate these sites to our platform? You can import entire WordPress.com sites to WordPress.com. If you’d like to migrate, you can start by creating a new site and upgrading to the Business plan. Each plan is valid for one site, so if you want plugins on all three sites, you’ll need three sites with three Business plans.

If you are not planning to migrate at this time, you would want to contact GoDaddy support for help with your existing sites. You can also post on the WordPress.org support forum for help.

On a different note, you can consider Jetpack plans for adding backups, security scanning, and site monitoring features to your self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
