  I am looking for someone who is credible, who can help me build my site. I need direction or some one I can ask specific questions as I go along.

  I am looking for someone who is credible, who can help me build my site.

  There are many volunteers and staff members here who can point you toward helpful support pages, give encouragement, and provide helpful answers to questions, all of which might help you build your site, but most of them are not credible. They are incredible.

  How do you find the incredible volunteers and staff people?

  Volunteers, like myself, will typically respond to your requests and questions first. Staff also may be the first to respond, but volunteers outnumber them are therefore more likely to answer first. Staff may called when issues are beyond the scope of the volunteers.

  A “modlook” tag in the sidebar will call for staff attention, though it may be a day or more before one of them responds.

  Stating your goals concisely,and asking specific questions regarding your efforts to achieve those goals may be a good way to begin. You may not be able to find one person to walk with you through the entire learning process.

  The best volunteers tend to be very inquisitive and eager to learn themselves. WordPress is always evolving and expanding, so there is nobody who knows everything there is to know about the themes, features, and tools available.
