HELP! Can’t retrieve saved drafts
-
Forgiveness requested in advance –frustrated newbie alert.
I have typed several lengthy posts that have supposedly been saved (the “draft saved” box shows up after I hit save), but I can not retrieve them to publish them after I hit save, and the post goes “poof!” out into cybernowhereland. HOW do I get my post back to publish it? Where did it go? -

I’m very sorry to say that if it’s not listed there under “Your Drafts” then it’s gone and cannot be retrieved. This is sad. It’s happened to me before so I know how miserable you feel.
Here’s some advice. Always compose offline and upload into wordpress and you will never be without a back-up. Use a free offline editor like BlogDesk http://www.blogdesk.org/en/index.htm Windows Live Writer http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c02_owner=1 or Qumana http://www.qumana.com/download.htm

Or you can do what I do, which is, just before hitting Publish, you copy everything in the textbox. Then if it fails to post you can just edit the post and paste it all in.
