HELP! Category Archives: Blog – How to remove it….
-
I’m so new at this, and have been able to figure most problems out by searching through the forums, but this one has me stumped.
I have created my ‘blog’ menu option as a category, so that i can add my posts to it and i go.
when i click on the post title, it displays just as i would expect it to, but when i click on ‘blog’ from the menu bar, my post is displayed, but with the ugliness of ‘Category Archives: Blog’ at the top… How do i go about making that disappear when i click on ‘blog’ from the menu bar and have it appear as if i’ve clicked on the post title?
I hope I’m making sense, and one answer i kept reading over and over was to insert this:
.archive .page-title {
display: none;
}but i have tried, and still nothing is happening….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi ygkweddings,
Here’s the CSS for what you are asking, however, I would recommend trying a different approach.
.category-blog .page-title { display: none; }You have a static front page and that’s great. I would create a blog page instead of writing posts and adding them to a blog category. Just create a page entitled Blog and point your Posts Page at it.
You won’t have to worry about that pesky category archives title showing up!

Fantastic! Thank you!
I did have that originally, but couldn’t actually figure out how to point my posts pages to it… Perhaps you could assist there too!?

The basic directions can be found at https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#optional-create-a-blog-page. It doesn’t look like you have set that part up, otherwise your blog posts would have shown up already.

I don’t know why I can’t figure it out… I still can’t get it to work…
I have set up the blog page, but just can’t get my blog posts to show up on it, other than when I make it a sub category… but that’s not that I want to happen…
