Help Center submission link is broken

This is a real rough one, I don’t know where this should get reported. But it looks like the sidebar help doesn’t support users actually submitting issues. There is a button with the text “Continue” but it can’t be clicked.

Is this…really happening? Or is there something wrong with my local browser? This can’t be real that the help system is so non-functional you can’t actually report issues through it.

I would upload an image to this forum showing the issue. But I can’t. Every time I try to upload it says an unknown issue occurred.

  • Hi there,

Yes, the image block is currently not working in the forums, and we are looking into the issue. However, if you can upload what you see into your media library, staff can access the screenshot.

What browser are you currently using? Have you tried either clearing your cache or submitting your issue while using a different browser? I want to rule out this being a browser-related issue.

Please let me know and we’d be happy to assist further. Thank you!

I uploaded the file HelpCenterBroken into my media library, so you can see a visual of it.

I am currently using Google Chrome. I have tried with Firefox and it doesn’t work there either.

    Hey, @hahnathaniel!

The Help Center should be working fine — in such cases,it’s always good to clear the browser cache and try accessing it from a different browser.

I also encountered the same issue earlier and ended up posting directly to the forums. The Continue button in the Help Center form is inactive in Firefox, which is a supported browser. So now both Chrome and Firefox mentioned here.

  • Hi @mojourner Would you be able to share a screenshot of how it’s looking for you? You could add it to your site’s Media library for us to check!

I tested in Firefox 121.0 and was able to see and click the ‘Continue’ button when submitting a request; so any comparisons and browser version information would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s a temporary link to a capture. My browser is FF 121 on a Win10 PC and here’s the info from whatsmybrowser

After one fills out the contact form and clicks Continue, the button does nothing.

  • Thanks @mojourner. We’re checking on this side.

  • Thank you for your patience with this! We were able to put a fix in place and this should no longer be happening for you – if you do encounter that the Continue button is greyed out once more please do feel free to let us know so we can re-check.

I checked on my end, it works now! Glad that’s working again!

The help center functions, live chat, and help email functions all have not been working for me no matter what I do. I’ve cleared caches, tried different browsers and posted here and am still waiting for response to yesterday’s post. I’m at thirdeve.com on the Explorer plan. I can’t access Live Chat, which used to be excellent and efficient.

I don’t mean to sound rude, but saying things “should be working” when they clearly are not working for so many of us (have been reading the forums page by page about “chat” and “help”). Since things aren’t working as they did before, it’s possible there’s a problem on the WP help side, eh?

    Thanks much, Anne at thirdeve.com
