Help Changing server PHP memory limit from -1

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m using the elementor plugin and I’m having issues using it. All the resources I find tell me to go to the config php file and increase the memory limit, which I did, but it still does not allow me to change this “PHP memory limit”. Currently it is set to -1.

    How do I change this?

If I go to Elementor system info, it says my php memory limit is not at the recommended limit (its set to -1). In wordpress environment, it says my memory limit is 512m, which is what I changed it to in the config file.

If I go to tools -> site health and look at my info, it says on the server, my memory is set to -1.

Anyone know how I can fix this so Elementor will work?

  • Hi there,

I do not see any sites under your @elainesgb WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? We don’t offer Elementor on WordPress.com, which was my clue that you may be referring to a WordPress site with a different provider.

We are not able to help directly, but I can recommend that you contact your hosting provider directly. They can usually help with your PHP memory limit and other server-side settings that are under their control.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
