Help commenting on other blogs

Dear Jandrewjansen: I am trying to follow your instructions to solve this problem of not being able to comment on other people’s blogs. I need help with your suggestion. What does it mean to “add the lines to header.php”? What is the header.php and where can I find it? I don’t know what php files are.

SIGH … If you have a free hosted WordPress.COM blog then ignore the “o “add the lines to header.php”” because we cannot even access those file on WordPress.com free hosted blogs. That is only for those who have WordPress.ORG installs and the two run on different software.WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
WordPress.com is a hosted blog service. You do not have to download software, pay for hosting or manage a web server. WordPress.com does not permit uploading themes or plugins. Sorry I had a phone call to answer and now I am back. If you would like to take your issue up with staff please use this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form. -
It does not work with WordPress.com blogs that have domain mapping. It routinely fails.
OpenID does not work. Do not use it.
