Help Customizing Title
-
I am trying to customize the way my title looks — i want the words “Black Belt” to be in Black and a font that suggests a martial arts Black Belt and I want to put the word “down” in another font/color… how can I do that?

I thought justpi was right. But it looks like Watson does not support a header image. And it’s a premium theme. You might ask The Theme Foundry if they can suggest a different theme instead of Watson, one with a header. Or you might be able to change fonts and font colors with the Custom Design Upgrade from WordPress, but that’s not free and you have to know what you’re doing.

The available custom fonts are fine, if you like one of them, but they are limited. If you use an image editing application, you can style a title or a logo anyway you please. Notice that jostankos asked for something unusual: “a font that suggests a martial arts Black Belt”.

I’d recommend Chunk or Jubilat Semibold for the headings and FF Basic Gothic for body text. :)

Here’s one possible solution using CSS:
First, change the site title to just “Black Belt” and then add this to the Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
.branding h1 a:after { content: " Down"; font-family: Impact, Haettenschweiler, "Franklin Gothic Bold", Charcoal, "Helvetica Inserat", "Bitstream Vera Sans Bold", "Arial Black", sans-serif; }Or a header image like justpi suggested is also a good idea if you want more control.
