HELP! Delete or Deactivate Blog URL ??

  I began creating a blog using WordPress but once I got started I decided to purchase a Domain & WebHosting through GoDaddy stilling using WordPress – using the same blog name.

  So now the blog that I want to use is through GoDaddy but the URL address has WordPress at the end. If I take out the WordPress at the end it brings up the one I started originally w/ WordPress.

  Is there any way that I can change, deactivate, or delete the original blog without risking the new blog that I’ve been working on?

  …don’t delete anything until you’ve communicated with someone who knows what they’re doing. Hopefully a moderator or staff member will be by soon.

  Did you map okcmomof3.com to your WordPress.COM blog okcmomof3/wordpress then change to Godaddy?

  If so it can take 24 to 72 hours for the changes to migrate to the far corners of the internet. Just leave a Post at the top of your WordPress.COM blog that says “We have moved to ……. then have a link to your new site” also turn off search engines so they won’t crawl your original WordPress.COM site.

  Then blog a lot at the new site and the old site will go away in the search engines.
