Help disabling privacy protection

    Hello everyone!

    I am trying to transfer my domain from WordPress to another registrar but I am stuck. One of the steps I have to take is disabling ‘privacy protection’ but every time I try to do it I get an error message saying ‘Unable to update privacy protection for your domain’.

    Can anybody enlighten me on what’s happening here and how I can solve it? Would be much appreciated!

    Hi, I can see the errors on our end. It looks like this might have happened because the domain was about to expire. It’s renewed since then, so can you try again to see if you’re able to transfer?

    Noting too, since it renewed, that extra year will of course go with you to your new registrar. Transferring will just add another year to that.

    As an update, @thestatuethieves, I’d asked for some help on this and it looks like we’re going to disable privacy for you from our end. You should be able to transfer now.
