‘Help – error domains issue?

    Hi
    I have a domain owned through go daddy. I wanted to use WordPress on my site only (not host it through you just use WordPress) and I set up mapping my domain and had to allow go daddy to authorise something – to be honest, I have no idea – I realised I had paid $60 and didn’t want those services so I cancelled it. Now my site says
    “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. “ and I have no idea what’s going on.
    I have got a refund coming from WordPress for the $60 but now it says I’m hosted by automattic which is WordPress! I’m so confused.

    All I want is to use WordPress on my site. Not host it with them . Can you pls help?

    In order to host your own WordPress based website, you should use the wordpress software provided by WordPress.ORG. For more info on the difference between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Hi there, I’m seeing that the refund was issued, but it may take 10 days for it to show up on your statement.

    The domain mapping was removed, but it may take 24 hours for the DNS change to make its way around to all the nameservers on the internet, so I would wait for a bit. Your nameservers are showing as pointing to Godaddy right now.

    Where did you want to use your domain name, on a site hosted here at WordPress.com, or on a self-hosted WordPress site on a different web host?
