Help for a Newbie

  Hi,
  Just was wondering how one would be able to actually get a blog going here,I am excited about doing so but am having great difficulty doing so.

  I set up an account and went to choose my template and everytime I go to choose one I like it says it is not available….I did go on the web and find some free templates but I really have no idea how to do it.I would really appreciate any help..

  Can you describe the steps you’re using to change your theme? You should be able to do it quite easily by going to Dashboard > Presentation > Themes and selecting the one you want, then clicking “activate” in the pop up window. If it’s saying you can’t change the theme, it might be a browser issue. Which browser are you using? If you have another one, try it in that and see if you get the same result. Or log out, clear your cache and try again; that might help.

  As for the free templates, we can’t use them unfortunately; they’re for blogs using WordPress.org software. If you’re new you might like to look at the FAQs and some of the blogging resources, to get you started. And welcome to WordPress! :)

  What browser are you using? Safari 2.x.x has problems with the theme activation.

  What is the url of your blog? You should already have a blog, it’ll just be in the default theme. If you can’t remember what it was, try going into your profile and checking there.
