Help formatting a Blog, posting photos and linking images to outside URLs

While I’m not a tech newbie, I’m just lost trying to figure out how to edit a blog theme to include photos (in the about section or in a sidebar), URL links to another website I run and understanding what some of these widgets do (some of the names are just not that intuitive and there’s little in the way of descriptions when clicked on). I’m sure that there are all sorts of videos and posts to read but I’m trying to run a business and am pressed for time. I’d be happy to pay someone to help coach me through this.
I’m always impressed by the blogs that look and feel like websites. I’m sure that this can be done here but I have no clue.
BTW – Is there a way to change or add a new blog title to link back to LinkedIn? I found WordPress through an app link made available from LinkedIn. I wanted to change the name of my blog and relink it (and maybe transfer or at least link the content from the original blog).
