  So are tags the only way besides outside links to get traffic to your blog? I could use some help. Thanks!

  Tags are one way, and work pretty well. You can also use the tags to find blog posts related to yours and leave comments. Commenting on similar blogs will attract the readers of those blogs to your site. Be sure that your options are set up to automatically allow linking.

  There are also blog listing sites, like Blog Catalog, that serve as a community of bloggers who interact. Many will list your blog for free, and allow you to advertise for a fee.

  I think there could be some problem.
  A few months back, many users reported traffic sudden slow down.
  Then, recently, I discover AmungUs widget reports no out Singapore visitors on the map where normally there should be.
  It might have been some technical issues going on somehow.
  So…
  I just raise this for awareness.

  The last I checked, even the Ping.sg has all the previous record (what ping pongs) all wiped out.

  BTW, I won’t rely on Tag if I want volumes.
  Basically, there are two issues with getting traffic:
  1. You are subjected to the tyranny of often dubious thinking IT folks’ services;
  2. You can do physical promotion just as other marketing.

  Then and again, high traffic may also mean the higher frequency nosensical folks reach you serene grounds. So just take traffic easy since you can’t make ad monies from WordPress blog unless you do advertorial like Xiaxue and Dawn.

  Ok, I admit, it’s a thrill to see the stats. LOL~

  Forget about them, there are usually people who go around to be pissed for being cyber freaks– typical bad guys roaming cyberspace.

  There are plenty of such rascals out there who can’t be constructive.

  I don’t even remember exactly how it started and it’s just spiraled out of control and mayhem has ensued. I’m also an outsider while others have said I’m naive about many things having to do with this industry. I’m also a girl while most are men. I’m an easy target.

  Man comes into this world as naive, and exist this without complete understanding of many things.

  Basically, I sympatize with you. I am aware of many rascals online and offline, but if you are talking about the blogging industry… Just be a blogger first, and industrialist second. Fun comes first, then you may want to make money base on something you’d find fun in.

  Everyone is easy target… This is by luck. But how you react is the issue.

  Even Technocrati has not being updated. So something is rather wrong somewhere.
