Help get rid of the side bar

  I don’t want a side bar (at all) on my category post pages. It doesn’t appear on my homepage, but I have to have one on my category pages otherwise it automatically shows a search box, archives and meta. I don’t want any side bar.

  For a completely blank sidebar, add a Text widget via Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard, but leave the contents of the Text widget blank.

  Your theme has default widgets which appear when the sidebar is blank. By adding an empty text widget, the sidebar will no longer be “blank” but it will be blank. :)
