Need help recovering access to my website. Not jproasterr.
It was created in late fall 2013 by a friend who moved.
Coming up on my business’ 10 year anniversary; would like to revitalize and utilize website.
The email address used to create site is long defunct- cant check it.
Went to Paypal to find confirmation info; nothing there. How can I get access under my original username for that site?

Hello!
Just to clarify:
Do you know whose email account the site would fall under: You or Your Friend? -
Definitely mine. He used his apple laptop to do a lot of the work. But I paid the $99 I believe with my cc.
Thanks.

To recover the account please enter as much information as you can in the account recovery form.
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryOnce you gain recovery of the site consider using two-step authentication.
-
Thank you for replying sir.
I used the account recovery tool you sent. And it tries to reset the password for “jproasterrr,” which is not the target site.

Ahh! Ok.
In order to process the recovery form you will need your Paypal transaction IDNote: that all our payments are processed by PayPal (even if you paid directly with a credit card).
PayPal can provide you with this transaction ID that we can then verify on our end. It’s a 17-digit number. You can reach them at these numbers:
1-888-221-1161 or 1-402-935-2050 (if calling from outside the U.S.)
You can find additional ways to contact PayPal here:
https://www.paypal.com/us/contactus
When contacting PayPal, please have the following details of the transaction ready:
– Name on card – Amount and date of transaction – Card number

If you do not have one of the verification forms mentioned WordPress may not let you in.
I’ve also tagged it for a staff follow-up. Please be patient as they work in the order requests have been received.

Although, it also appears the site was last updated on 30 Sept 2014. Is there someone updating the site that you may be able to speak to that can give you information or assist you in logging in?

Thanks for the Paypal info.
The domain activity is the yearly of the domain name- $20 yearly. I saw the invoice in an email.

Did a online bank search for payments.
Found WP-Fee.com. $13.00
Could this be a legit amount for starting a site?
I know that I pay $5 /mo to Google for email routing of Harmony House Coffee email to my ipad. This coincides with the yahoo service being disconnected as my website- which is where the defunct email address was created. Yet it is somehow present on my contact page for HHC. -
Ok. Went back further. Paid to WP-Fee. $299 on 8/16/13.
I’ll be contacting Paypal tomm.
Thanks,
John -
Yes, the WP-Fee.com is the phrase WordPress uses for payment processing. It mostly likely is a custom domain purchase @ 13.00 and @299 for a Business upgrade.
For the Business upgrade you have access to live support so you may have a better resolution by accessing the live support. Though, I am not sure if the Business upgrade it requires an annual renewal.
Chat live with a WordPress.com specialist, Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm Eastern time.

Ok. Unless Ive missed something, I cannot get to the Harmony house coffee dashboard unless I have access to the site in order to…get access to the website. Correct?
Thanks
-
That is correct. In order to access the dashboard (which will give you access to the website) you will need your login info. Hopefully, you are able to get a verification source (from Paypal) that you can give to staff. I’ve also tagged this thread for a staff follow-up.

10/6/14.
Contacted paypal concerning payments made to WP-Fee this morning- customer service agent has no record.
Online bank record (Regions Business debit card) of purchases to WP-Fee on two occasions are confirmed. So, Im still locked out of my business website.
So, again, the main issue is that I cannot access the old em
ail address to receive new password info. It was my past yahoo website account email. Please help.

I appreciate any help I can get.
This is my barely used business website; this month is my 10 year anniversary. Id love to get this up along with a new blog.
Thanks,
John -
Can you access anyone in the live chat as it appears you have a business account?
Also, can you try re-submitting the account recovery form?
